Whether it is a rapid or a long-term weight loss, it will affect the health of the one who is determined to fight for a better body in a most beneficial way. It is American researchers who have compared the health effects of weight loss in a total of 36 people with obesity. A group would keep the weight and the others go down 5, 10 or 15% of their body weight. The subjects in the study were obese and had a BMI of around 38. They weighed around 220 lbs and a weight loss of 5% was thus five kilos. A normal BMI is between 18.5 and 25, while the obesity limit is 30. None of the subjects in the study had type 2 diabetes, but all had signs of the disease.
