Just another quick comment... my son, Brian Michael Vaught, also had a mitochondrial myopathy... which is also another reason that the Krebs Cycle always interested me.
The Krebs Cycle teaches us so much... it\'s crazy how everything intertwines!!!
Thanks again for your article!!!

I just want to say it always catches my attention when I find articles on the Krebs Cycle.... about 16 years ago I lost my oldest son (at age 7 1/2 years old) to a rare genetic disease called Leigh Syndrome... which involved/involves high levels of lactic acid in all of his body fluids, including his spinal fluid. This increased amount of lactic acid in his spinal fluid deteriorated his brain stem. He also had COX deficiency or \'cytochrome c oxidase\' deficiency. Which to my understanding meant that he had a deficiency in his respiratory chain. He also suffered from several other problems... but I remember trying to understand the Krebs Cycle better... for reasons of the pyruvate/lactate/lactic acid issues. I got on this site to investigate prolotherapy.. but I ran across this article so I had to stop and read it.
This is never easy to understand and you almost HAVE TO HAVE a degree to get a lot of it.... but back when we were going through everything with my son... I became much more educated about a lot of things that I would have otherwise never even attempted to \'investigate\'.
My hat is off to ROB... hang in there and keep digging for your answers for your 10 year old son. He needs you, God knew you would look to find ways to help him... that\'s why you\'re together!!! AND... there\'s way more that you will learn in the process of what you\'re doing other than JUST finding out about the Krebs Cycle.. trust me... although THAT is very very important. Lorenzo\'s Oil was a great movie too... Parents need to get more involved in their children\'s health issues....
Thanks ADMIN for writing/posting this article!!!!

Dr. Edwards and Prolotherapy are giving my life back to me. I have suffered with lower back pain for 30 years. After just three treatments. I can now stand on my feet for an extended period of time and not have to sit down to get some relief. Dr. Edwards and his staff have been very personable, polite and knowledgeable. I recommend this treatment and this Dr. with no hesitation.Tina Chyz

As a bodybuilder mdoel I have pushed my body through strenuous yet effective workouts for the last 20 years. The most unfortunate incident occured 6 months ago. While working out with a national level competitor who\'s a good friend of mine I sustained a debilitating injury, the MRI showed a SLAP tear. 6 months later my workouts were still extremely discomforting. Fortunately Dr Edwards recommended a procudure called Prolotherapy. The results are incredible and can be felt instantly. Within 2 weeks I have already improved 45 % in range of motion, mobility and connective tissue feels better in and around the Prolotherapy areas. Dr. Edwards has performed therapy on both knees and shoulders and I wish I had been introduced to this form of rapid healing process years ago. I highly reccomend any athlete or anyone with any pain to invest the time to reconstruct your joints and regain mobility with Dr. Edwards and Prolotherapy.

Seriously injured my right knee over three years ago. It would get better and I would wind up re-injuring it. It got to the point where I felt surgery was my only option. As a CRNA (nurse anesthetist) I've seen 1000s of orthopedic surgeries. I admit its not my area of expertise but I never understood how scraping out the connective tissues during arthroscopic knee surgery was supposed to help. I further did not understand or like the speech about how eventually some day after arthroscopic surgery I would have to have a total knee replacement. So I have avoided the problem for a very long time with the pain and joint instability growing worse over time.

When Dr. Edwards told me about prolotherapy I hoped and prayed it would work. I admit I had hight hopes not just because Chad is a lifelong friend of mine but because this treatment, unlike arthroscopic knee surgery, made sense! It works with the body's own ability to heal itself.

After 2 injections my knee is better than it has been in years. I'm 98% or better. I can to things that I could not do before and I have been pain free.

I have had back pain for over 12 yrs. Doctors tried physical therapy, pain medications, steroid injections and nothing would help with the pain, if anything the steroid injections made my pain worse. I was informed that Dr. Edwards does Prolotherapy and thought I would give it a try. I was skeptical at first, because I had not heard of this type of treatment before and how simple it is. On my first set of injections I walked out of the clinic "Pain Free". It is absolutley amazing how quickly and how good it works.

Dr Edwards,
I am truly intrested in what you are saying. I have struggled with my weight all of my life. One time I was on Weight Watchers and lost 70 lbs. I weighed 130 lbs, I am 5' 8". That was the goal they set for me. I have always wondered what a healthy weight would be, but eveyone goes back to the BMI. I have gained since and now have started working out and have dropped about 36 lbs. In January I started walking and doing spirts of fast paced with moderate pace and that helped with the first drop in weight. I am now doing the Wii Fit Plus and using the step for my main work out, then on the weekend I add other exercises to that. I am intrested in what else you have to say about calories vs weight. I have never heard it explained the way you have started explaining it. I am looking forward to more of your insight on this matter.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Great question! Prolotherapy is useful when there is tendon/ligament relaxation. The only way to really know is to have an exam performed by a physician trained in prolotherapy. The examiner will palpate the areas and will be better able to determine if prolotherapy will be beneficial. Certainly it can't cure every cause of pain. But if your pain is due to ligament/tendon relaxation (which is a very common cause) then prolotherapy has a very high success rate. I hope that helps!
