IF YOU HAVE EVER HEARD ANY OF THE ABOVE BY YOUR DOCTOR THEN PROLOTHERAPY MAY BE FOR YOU!
Prolotherapy has CURED countless people that had almost given up because they thought they had exhausted all available medical options and nothing had helped.
If you have had chronic pain or had surgery and you haven’t gotten relief then you should consider prolotherapy.
Prolotherapy can dramatically improve, if not cure, many cases of:
- Arthritis pain
- Osteoarthritis
- Joint Laxity
- Back Pain
- Neck Pain, whiplash
- Knee Pain
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Partially torn ligaments, tendons, and cartilage
- Sports Injuries
- Migraines
- TMJ Dysfunction
- Fibromyalgia
- Sciatica
This list is not comprehensive but provides an example of what can be treated with prolotherapy. Only a physician trained in prolotherapy can tell you, after a thorough history and examination, can tell you if prolotherapy is right for you.
Prolotherapy depends on your body’s natural ability to heal itself. Some patients may not be good candidates due to medical problems, taking certain medications, or nutritional deficiencies. For example, if you have a medical condition that requires taking steroids then you may not be able to mount a sufficient response to the therapy and it may not give you the optimal benefit. With that said, I have had patients that did benefit substantially despite being on some of these medicines or having some of these medical conditions. You just have to determine if it is worth a try.
Here are some things to keep in mind. Prolotherapy has an excellent success rate. Dr Hackett’s studies showed it to be 80-90% effective. It is extremely low risk. In fact, the former Surgeon General of the United States (C. Everett Koop, MD) stated “the nice thing about prolotherapy, if properly done, is that it cannot do any harm“. Read his story here.
In our clinic in Tulsa, OK, we’ve had significant success with prolotherapy but it isn’t for everyone. The procedure can be very uncomfortable. Some patients are very anxious about the number of injections or the pain associated with it. Some patients don’t seem to experience anything except very mild discomfort and others experience extreme pain.
While most patients tolerate it very well, some may need medication to take prior to the procedure in order to keep them more comfortable. We will discuss this possibility during your evaluation. Read about what to expect before, during, and after the procedure here.
