The 3 R's are the 3rd Tenent of the 'Healthy Trinity'. Without addressing proper rest, recovery, and stress reduction you will never achieve optimal health.
Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. Some people's biggest health issue is a failure to address the 3 R's. It is common with very motivated, 'Type A' people that are 'hard-charging' to achieve their desired goals but also presents in others to varying degrees.
